EOW 53 Yorktown, Enterprise, Hornet vol. 1 Part 1 (of two) of the monograph tells the story of Yorktown-class ships genesis: how Yorktown and her twins were born; story of the construction and service till the war on the Pacific broke out. The monograph contains also technical description of the aircraft carriers, illustrated with numerous drawings, photos and rendered 3D views. The significant part of the book is devoted to aircraft carried aboard the ships, i.a. their drawings to 1 : 100 scale. There are two inserts (A1) included, four sheets of views, sections and other drawings of Yorktown, as she looked before the war (before and after modernization) - all to 1:350 scale. |
