The monograph describes conditionings and development history of this night fighter, her service in Germany and fate in other countries, short explanation of camouflage and marking rules, and the technical description stuffed with drawings and details photos. Colour plates to 1:60 scale and drawings to 1:48 scale (on a folded A1 insert) complete the book.

"Heinkel He 219 Uhu must have been the most tragic victim of intrigues and competition for power in the RLM during the Second World War. This excellent night fighter could have become a dangerous weapon against Allied bombers that attacked the Third Reich under the cover of darkness. Fortunately for them, rulers of Nazi Germany were more interested in insisting on their own ideas and reaching high posts in the hierarchy. Heinkel and his aircraft were sacrificed at the altar of political scheming and personal envy."
